NFL Week 2 - Rob McFarren

And here are my NFL picks of the week.

One comment First - what some Broncos "fans" are doing is downright despicable. Booing Kyle Orton as he is trying to lead the team in a comeback against the Raiders. Horrible support.

Now, some (I'm sure the minority...hopefully????) are talking of buying billboards to Bench Orton and Play Tebow. This makes absolutely no sense other than people having a crush on Tebow. I like Tebow as a person, but he should not play just because of that - we don't hear cries for other likable personalities to start over clearly more talented players. FYI - Tebow is 3rd on the depth chart.

On to the picks:

Kansas City @ Detroit - I like both these franchises, but no Eric Berry + Megatron = Lions!

Oakland @ Buffalo - No way can I pick the Raiders after their penalties last week.

Tampa Bay @ Minnesota - This is a trap game in you see how bad McNabb's numbers were. But they are at home. They'll win.

Chicago @ New Orleans - Did I mention Drew Brees is my favorite QB? Even if Peyton was playing...Brees is my favorite from his Purdue days.

Baltimore @ Tennessee - Home field means a lot, but not in this one.

Cleveland @ Indy - If Indy can't win this one, they may just have the shot for Andrew Luck with P1 in 2012 (And they WOULD take him).

Jacksonville @ NY Jets - Why Jason Hill, who may not even play, spouted off to the media about the overhyped Jets prior to the game...this is a sure sign of loss for that team. I was going to pick JAX before this. Seriously.

Seattle @ Pittsburgh - Great way to bounce back from last weeks loss (talking about the Steelers, not the Seahawks)

Arizona @ Washington - I think I've changed my mind on this pick about 100 times already. I want the Cardinals to win, I like how their offense looked, but I also know how poorly they fair on the East Coast...add in a motivated Tim Hightower to out duel Beanie Wells. Yeah...

Green Bay @ Carolina - Hearing a lot about how Cam Newton won't do to the Packers what he did to the Cardinals. But how many yards did GB and AZ give up last week? Oh yeah 477. (both teams)

Dallas @ San Fran - Another debate. Think Dallas will win, but franchise wise, gotta go with Joe Montana and Patrick Willis. Wait - Joe Montana didn't come out of retirement to replace Alex Smith?

San Diego @ New England - Two of my 3 least favorite teams battling. I go with Wes Welker on Fantasy over Ryan Mathews on Fantasy.

Houston @ Miami - Miami will make this close, they didn't look that bad on offense last week. But D? No way.

Cincy @ Denver - This changes if the fans keep being stupid. And I say this as Broncos semi-fan. I've lived there long enough to always root for them if they aren't playing the Colts. The Cardinals is a toss-up.

Philly @ Atlanta - Atlanta at home. Forget last week, it was last week. Home field.

St. Louis @ NY Giants - Too many injuries on both squads already. But Manning, Hicks, & Manningham are healthy.
